Thrifty Treasure Hunt

Every once in awhile, I get the itch. You know, the itch to search for buried treasure! One of my favorite places to hunt through antique and thrift stores is the Chamblee Antique Row District. It is in old, historic Chamblee (near Brookhaven) and there are tons of little shops to browse through! One of my favorite stores is Treasure Mart because the prices are MUCH more reasonable than some of the other antique stores.

Here are some of my finds from Treasure Mart today:
Blue jars that remind me of milk glass
($10)

17th Century Silhouettes
($10 each)

Studded white steamer trunk
($200)

Armoire that could be painted
a fun shabby chic color
($200)

Huge desk that would look fabulous painted
a glossy white with those handles painted black!
($225- steal!)
P.S. There was a beautiful desk at HomeGoods today
a little bit smaller than this
for $399

Black painted table that is much bigger than it looks
($240- another steal!)

Gorgeous shabby chic candlesticks
($25-small and $30-large)

Black Chair (there was a set of two)
($25 each)

Mirror and glass window frame
(Everything you see in panes is either
reflected or behind this frame- don't worry!)
($29)

 Look at this handsome hi-boy!
($300)

Pretty black chair with curved arms
($45)

Rolling drink cart
($50)

Pirate's chest! Argghhhh
($76.50)

HUGE Picnic Basket
($85 i think)

These next few items came from some other stops on my antique route
Beautiful chandy!

Gorgeous chest in excellent condition!
($95)

Handsome picnic basket...

Filled with goodies! Inside the smaller basket is champagne flutes.
This would make an excellent gift!
($45)

Do y'all ever go antiquing? What are some of your favorite finds?
