Barkbox

As many of you know, I am that crazy dog lady. I LOVE my two babies, Scout and Gunner, and they bring so much joy and laughter in our lives. If you follow my Instagram feed, you know this to be true :) So it should come as a surprise to no one, including you Mom, that I ordered my pups a Barkbox. I signed up for the 6 month plan, so it averages out to $19/month. I also had a $10 off promo code that brought it down a little cheaper, so I roughly pay $17.33/month.

We got our first box in the mail Tuesday and the dogs loved it! Me...not sure yet, but dogs....heaven.

Gunner and Scout anxiously waiting to see what's inside...

I like how they give you an info card so you can read about each of the products. Most boxes come with 4-5 products (we got 4), so it's nice to be able to learn more if your dogs like one in particular.

Close up of the products and a price list:

Wigzi Stuff n' Throw $13.99 (blue treat ball)
Wigzi Stuff n' Crunch $5.99
think!dog Louisiana Alligator Jerky $6.99
Grandma Bowser's Country Oven Biscuits $5.99
Total: $32.96
Savings: $15.63

Scout's like, hmm...what is this?

Going back to make sure she didn't miss anything in the box haha!

Ingredients of the treats for anyone that is curious....most Barkbox products are high-end, natural dog products.

Gunny man waiting for me to drop one his way.

My thoughts: While the dogs loved it, I would liked to have seen less treat bags and more toys/bones. Overall, I loved getting to try natural and healthy dog products that I normally wouldn't buy. Since we get Barkbox once a month until June, I will be sure to share monthly updates.

Holy Blogger Break!

"Wow, I can't believe it's been a full year since I have really blogged about what's going on in our lives, as well as sharing home decor, recipes, clothing and accessories, etc. I never intentionally meant to take a break, it just kinda happened. Now that 2014 is here, I definitely want to hop back on the bloggin' train and share some fresh new inspiration with y'all!

First up, some yummy tried and true Pinterest recipes:

Crock Pot Mac'n Cheese
Notes: I used shells and didn't add the dry mustard. Definite crowd pleaser!

Feta Stuffed Chicken
Notes: I didn't use lemon juice or walnuts, just cooked the spinach in the chicken juice. Then I drained the spinach and it had a great flavor due to the chicken. Yummy!

Greek Pasta Salad
Notes: I added cooked, chopped Kielbassa sausage to this in order to get Jason to give it a chance. He loved it!

Summer Salad
Notes: We added shrimp for dinner and it was awesome! Great meal for the summertime.

Baked S'more Bars
Notes: can't resist yummy s'mores!
They did come out really gooey so might need to bake longer.

Scallop Linguine
Notes: Loved this! A little dry, so possibly add more cream if you want that creamy taste.

Let me know if y'all try any of these recipes and what you think! I will be sharing more tried and true recipes in the upcoming weeks. Everyone stay warm in this crazy weather!
